Chamber of Commerce Quarterly Membership Luncheons

Thursday, March 2; Thursday, May 18; Thursday, August 17; and Thursday, November 16

The Chamber of Commerce Quarterly Membership Luncheons are held at Erwin Town Hall at noon. Each meeting will include a different guest speaker and topic. The event is open to all Chamber members.


Unicoi County Legislative Breakfast • Friday, March 31

The Unicoi County Legislative Breakfast, sponsored by Unicoi County Memorial Hospital, offers a continental breakfast open to the public at no charge, followed by remarks from Unicoi County’s State and Federal Legislators and a public forum question-answer session.


East Tennessee Guitar and Music Show • Saturday, April 29

Guitar lovers and those who appreciate all things associated with guitars will want to be a part of a new guitar show debuting in the Northeast Tennessee region Saturday, April 29. The East Tennessee Guitar Show will feature vintage guitars, amplifiers and other new and used gear. The show will be held at the National Guard Armory located at 615 South Main Avenue in Erwin, TN on April 29 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Dealers and individuals of new and used merchandise are invited to participate in the event.  The show is not just guitars; all types of instruments are welcome, as well as other equipment such as PA gear, mics, recording gear and more. 6th Annual Nolichucky 5K River Run • Saturday, May 6

The Nolichucky 5K River Run is a 5K run along the Nolichucky River including sections of the Erwin Linear Trial. A festival atmosphere will surround the running of the race in which vendors and sponsors will display their merchandise.


15th Annual Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament • Friday, May 26

As a fundraising event for the Chamber of Commerce, the annual Golf Tournament draws upwards of 100 people. This high-energy, fun-filled event provides area business leaders a day of golf, food and networking.


3rd Annual Triple Threat • Saturday, August 26

Push your limits, show your strength, cross the finish line. This obstacle course racing event will highlight the very best of the natural beauty that Unicoi County has to offer by merging paddling on the Nolichucky River, an eighteen obstacle Obstacle Course and a 5K Run into one extreme adventure. 40th Annual Unicoi County Apple Festival • Friday & Saturday, October 6 & 7

The Unicoi County Apple Festival, held the first full Friday and Saturday in October, draws an estimated 110,000 festival attendees. The annual event features more than 350 food and craft vendors, three entertainment stages, a large children’s area, and numerous contests and tournaments.


Gingerbread House Contest • On going the months of October & November

Elaborate or simple, big or small, nothing gets you into the holiday spirit like building and designing your very own gingerbread house. This event is a perfect opportunity to start a new tradition with family and friends.


Erwin Christmas Parade • Saturday, November 25

The annual Christmas Parade is held the Saturday after Thanksgiving and features more than 100 entries including The Shriner’s, community police and fire, local church floats, area dance schools, local businesses, more than 20 professional floats….and of course Santa Claus makes a special appearance. The Erwin Christmas Parade is THE feel-good event of the year.


Tree Lighting Ceremony • Friday, December 1

Always held the Friday before Thanksgiving; this event is a way to kick off the Christmas shopping season for Unicoi County. The event is centered at Erwin Town Hall, consists of cookies, hot chocolate, Christmas carolers, reading “Twas the Night Before Christmas” and a very special guest…Santa!!! Santa brings plenty of gifts and candy to give the children before he rushes away to start his busiest time!


Chamber Annual Meeting • Thursday, December 7

The Chamber’s Annual Meeting is a longstanding tradition of the Unicoi County Chamber of Commerce held during the first quarter of the year. The evening event features entertainment, dinner, the unveiling of the Chamber’s annual program of work, induction of new members to the Chamber Board of Directors and recognition of Chamber Event Sponsors.


3rd Annual Breakfast with Santa • Saturday, December 9

Enjoy a morning of fun activities at the 2nd Annual Breakfast with Santa. Kids can enjoy a tasty pancake breakfast, followed by many exciting activities including facepainting, making reindeer food for Christmas Eve, dancing with the elves, making ornaments, music and games…and most importantly a visit with Santa!
